The Jolliff Brass
performs for many functions including churches, civic groups,
YMCA and other community activities outside of the church at
Jolliff. If you are interested in the ensemble performing for
your special occasion, please contact any of the group's members
or call the church. The group uses its talents for the love of
God through His beautiful gift of music. "There is nothing in
the world so much like prayer as music is".
The Jolliff Brass
first performed on Easter Sunday, 2009 for the 11:00 AM worship
service as a brass quintet with organ. Since that time, the
group has evolved into a quartet of two trumpets/flugelhorns and
two trombones/baritones that perform all styles of music
including Christian, Latin, pop, light rock, and jazz. All
musical arrangements are custom written for the group by Scott
Lambert utilizing computer technology that allows the background
parts to be played in "Karaoke Style" with amplified
accompaniment. Strings, voices, various percussion, piano,
guitar, bass, keyboards and drums are used to accompany the
ensemble, allowing great flexibility in various performance
settings.
